PERLENGKAPAN BUAT KE EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK

Perjalanan ke Everest Base Camp di Nepal adalah perjalanan yang aku nanti-nantikan. Sebelum ke Everest Base Camp, tentu persiapan fisik dan mental sangat penting. Selain itu juga harus didukung dengan perlengkapan yang sesuai. Menurutku persiapan yang baik bisa menunjang performa kita juga saat di trek nanti.

Apalagi berbeda dengan pendakian di gunung-gunung Indonesia yang punya iklim tropis, pendakian kali ini tentu akan lebih dingin! Pendakian ke Everest Base Camp via Gokyo memakan waktu sekitar 14 hari. Berikut ini aku spill perlengkapan apa aja yang aku bawa: 

Perlengkapan-perlengkapan tersebut akan dibagi dalam dua tas. Ada duffle bag yang akan dibawa oleh porter, yang berisi perlengkapan yang tidak dibutuhkan saat trek. Lalu ada tas daypack yang akan kita bawa sendiri selama trek Everest Base Camp. Perlengkapan yang ada dalam tas kita adalah perlengkapan essentials yang kita butuhkan saat di trek.

Things to Remember:

- Travel light. Duffle bag yang dibawa porter sekitar 20-25 kg (untuk 2 orang). Kalau aku timbang daypack-ku sekitar 5-6 kg sudah termasuk air dan perlengkapan yang aku sebut di atas. Para porter juga akan membawa perlengkapan pribadi mereka. Usahakan travel light agar tidak over kapasitas.

- Take More Cash. Pembayaran di tea house rata-rata menggunakan uang cash. Termasuk jika ingin naik transportasi kuda, pembayaran tunai dengan dollar. Tapi kalau di store yang agak besar bisa pakai kartu/cashless. 

- Check Passport Validity. Pastikan masa berlaku paspor aman. Kunjungan ke Nepal menggunakan Visa on Arrival menggunakan dollar. Visa dibayar saat tiba di Bandara Tribhuvan Kathmandu.
